Tiki has long been known abroad and has especially been used in countries such as Spain (Tenerife), the USA, the Caribbean etc. However, tiki has really started to come to Denmark.

 

Tiki glasses are iconic and an essential part of tiki bar culture, known for its flamboyant and exotic aesthetics. These glasses are often distinctive and colorful, designed to capture and showcase the unique and fun style synonymous with tiki cocktails and the broader Polynesian-inspired culture.

Tiki glasses are typically made from thick glass and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but the most popular are those shaped like totem-like figures, with carvings and details that refer to traditional Maori, Hawaiian, and other Pacific Island cultures. These glasses can also resemble tree stumps, coconuts, shells, or even imaginative monsters and gods from tiki mythology.

Tiki drink recipes.


Pina Colada Recipe:

  • 4 cl Light rum
  • 6 cl Coconut cream
  • 12 cl Pineapple juice
  • 1 cup ice cubes
    Course of action:
    The original recipe can be made in two different ways. 1) All ingredients are blended and poured into one hurricane glass. 2) put all ingredients in your cocktail shaker and now shake thoroughly. Using your strainer, strain the contents into your cocktail glass.


MAI TAI:

  • 4 cl. Rome
  • 2 cl. Cointreau
  • 1 cl. Almond Syrup
  • 2 cl. Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes
    Course of action:
    All ingredients are shaken vigorously in a shaker and served immediately in a tiki glass with plenty of ice cubes, 2-3 lime wedges and mint leaves

 

Blue Hawaiian Cocktail Recipe:

  • 3 cl Blue Curaçao
  • 6 cl Pineapple juice
  • 3 cl Light Rum
  • 3 cl coconut cream
  • Ice cubes
    Course of action:
    Shake all ingredients vigorously in a shaker and serve immediately in a tiki glass


Zombie

  • 6 cl light rum
  • 3 cl dark rum
  • 1 ½ cl Bacardi 151 rum (75.5%)
  • 1 ½ cl apricot brandy
  • 3 cl pineapple juice
  • 3 cl orange juice
  • 3 cl lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
    Course of action:
    With yours juicer, squeeze oranges until you get freshly squeezed juice
    All ingredients are shaken vigorously in a shaker and served in a tiki glass.



Hurricane

  • 6 cl light rum
  • 6 cl dark rum
  • 3 cl freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 3 cl orange juice
  • 1.5 cl passion fruit puree
  • 1.5 cl sugar syrup
  • 1 Bar spoon grenadine
    Course of action:
    Shake all ingredients vigorously in a shaker and serve immediately in a tiki glass. Garnish with a cocktail berry through one bamboo sticks.
