Tawala Origen – aged rum from Venezuela

Tawala Origen is an aged rum from Venezuela produced by Alcoholes Larenses in the state of Lara. Made from sugarcane molasses and matured in oak barrels, it develops an amber colour and a rounded character. Origen combines Venezuelan rum-making traditions with careful blending and is enjoyable neat, over ice or in classic rum cocktails.

What does Tawala Origen taste like?

Tasting descriptions highlight orange peel, vanilla, wood and nuts on the nose. The palate offers notes of caramel, marmalade and dried fruit, followed by a lingering finish. The result is a fruity rum with distinctive oak character.

Production and origin

Tawala is produced by Alcoholes Larenses in Venezuela. The name Tawala means “brother” in the Wayúu language and reflects the brand's Venezuelan roots. The distillery uses a range of distillation methods and oak maturation.

How to serve Tawala Origen

Enjoy Origen neat or over a large ice cube. It also works well in a Rum Old Fashioned, allowing the oak notes to shine.
