The stone combines two different grain sizes (grit) on the same block, so you can both straighten a dull or slightly damaged edge and hone it to a razor-sharp finish. It's a professional solution that's simple enough for anyone to learn to use – whether in a restaurant kitchen or at home.
Two variants – choose the grit combination that suits your needs
The sharpening stone comes in two models with different grit combinations, so you can choose the set that best suits your knives and your usage pattern. The coarse side (e.g. 220 or 1000 grit) is used to restore a dull or uneven edge, while the finer side (e.g. 1000 or 3000 grit) is used to refine and polish the edge so that the knife glides easily through vegetables, meat and fish. The advantage of having two grit levels in one stone is that you don't have to buy several separate sharpening stones - you simply turn the stone over when you are ready for the next step in the process.
The size of the stone is practical and well-made: the length provides a comfortable working area where you can guide the knife in long, controlled strokes, and the width makes it easy to maintain a stable contact surface between knife and stone. It is delivered in a practical box, which both protects the stone during storage and makes it easy to carry it with you if you work in several places.
