Cocktail strainers are primarily used when shaking a cocktail or stirring one in a mixing glass, where the Julep strainer or Hawthorne strainer is often used.

Strained Drinks:

Cosmopolitan Recipe:

• 4 cl Citrus Vodka
• 2 cl Cointreau
• 5 cl Cranberry Juice
• 2 cl Lime Juice
  Instructions:
  Combine all ingredients in your shaker and shake thoroughly. Strain the mixture into your martini glass using your fine strainer.

Pina Colada Recipe:

• 4 cl Light Rum
• 6 cl Coconut Cream
• 12 cl Pineapple Juice
• 1 cup ice cubes
  Instructions:
  The original recipe can be made in two ways. 1) Blend all ingredients and pour into a hurricane glass. 2) Combine all ingredients in your cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain the mixture into your cocktail glass using your strainer.

Zombie Recipe:

• 6 cl Light Rum
• 3 cl Dark Rum
• 1 ½ cl Bacardi 151 Rum (75.5%)
• 1 ½ cl Apricot Brandy
• 3 cl Pineapple Juice
• 3 cl Orange Juice
• 3 cl Lime Juice
• 1 tsp Sugar
  Instructions:
  Using your juicer, squeeze oranges to obtain fresh juice.
  Shake all ingredients vigorously in a shaker and serve in a tiki glass.

Hurricane Recipe:

• 6 cl Light Rum
• 6 cl Dark Rum
• 3 cl Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
• 3 cl Orange Juice
• 1.5 cl Passion Fruit Puree
• 1.5 cl Simple Syrup
• 1 bar spoon Grenadine
  Instructions:
  Shake all ingredients vigorously in a shaker and serve in a hurricane glass.
